MEDIA RELEASE

A heartwarming story of resilience and community support, Vietnam War Veteran Milton Ramon Smith has transitioned from homelessness to proud homeownership, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Veteran Housing Solutions (VHS) organization and its partners.

VHS partnered with the Cuyahoga Land Bank to transform a home in disrepair on Whitcomb Road in Cleveland.  Milton moved into this beautifully remodelled house. Additionally, VHS provided him with a service dog to replace the one he had recently lost.

This remarkable story underscores the impact of community support and the vital role of organizations like Veteran Housing Solutions in changing the lives of veterans.

Veteran Housing Solutions: Veteran Housing Solutions (formerly known as Ride with Valor) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating safe, affordable, and accessible housing for aging, disabled, and homeless veterans. Through initiatives like the “Hearth & Home for Veterans” program, VHS works to ensure that veterans have a secure place to call home and the support they need to thrive.

Thank you very much for the meals

hank you very much for the meals you provided to our officers over Thanksgiving. What a wonderful way to let officers know, especially those that work and are not able to celebrate with their families, that they are valued for the work they do. Your kind gesture left a positive impression
